Walton On Thames Area Guide

Walton is a large popular town in the Elmbridge borough of Surrey. This beautiful riverside area is popular with families as it has a bustling town centre full of amenities, many reputable state schools and scenic walks.

The town centre has been the subject of much regeneration lately with the addition of The Heart Centre, an impressive development of residential and commercial including a shopping centre, gymnasium and numerous well-known eateries.   The old town consists of an array of shops, gastro pubs and a cinema. The famous Walton Bridge is home to a range of boating marinas, cafes and local boat tours down the Thames.    
 
Walton On Thames has a mainline station with a fast train to London Waterloo in under half an hour.  Road links are equally good with the A3 being close by which also gives access to the M25.   Walton offers an eclectic mix of flats, affordable and mid-range family homes as well as large country mansions owing to its several private estates such as Burwood Park and Ashley Park.   Burwood Park and Ashley Park are gated private residential estates surrounded by woodland and offering a mix of period and modern multi million pound properties with plots sizes in excess of 0.5 of an acre.
